FAQs & Resources

Big decisions come with big questions – and we’d always rather you ask than wonder.

Here you’ll find the questions that come up most, along with a handful of resources to help you make sense of aged care, funding, and everything in between – all in plain, human language.

  • Ideal for seniors with changing health, mobility or confidence levels

Many of the people we care for live with higher or more involved needs, and our support is designed to rise to meet them. Through the upper levels of the Support at Home program (Levels 6–8), we coordinate more comprehensive, attentive care — bringing in experienced health professionals, daily personal connection, and careful coordination of everything around you, all delivered with our hospitality warmth. For some needs, like specialist dementia support, we have dedicated pathways you can read more about across our service pages. Whether your needs are steady or changing, our role is to make even the most complex days feel calm, considered, and full of moments of joy. If you’d like to talk through a particular situation, our team is always glad to have that conversation.

It depends a little on where you are in your journey. If your government funding is already in place, we can move quickly to get you started — often it’s just a matter of a conversation and sitting down to shape your care plan together. If you’re still working through My Aged Care, things can take a little longer while your assessment and funding come through. But we don’t believe you should have to wait to feel supported: where it helps, we can talk through interim or self-funded options so you can begin sooner rather than later. The best first step is simply to give us a call, and we’ll map out a realistic timeline together.

Symbol brings a hospitality-led approach to Support at Home, focused on calm, dignity and consistency in every visit.

  • A Signature Sequence of Service, for a high, reliable standard of care
  • Concierge-style coordination for clients and families
  • Strong focus on independence, respect and personal preference
  • Flexible support options that adapt as your needs change
